AT&T Telecommunications

  1. Infrastructure Platform Support – UNIX system administration for servers running Solaris, HP-UX, and AIX. Servers provided critical infrastructure for customer firewall, backup and recovery, and system management applications.
  2. Real-time Problem Management and Resolution - Managed system hardware, software and application errors on 4,000+ servers running Sun Solaris, HP-UX, and IBM AIX for nine-state Data Center region
  3. Operating System Volume Management – Repair servers using Veritas Volume Manager, Solstice DiskSuite, or HP LVM (Logical Volume Manager)
  4. Storage Management – Performed sync and data restores for EMC Symmetrix and Clarion devices as requested by the customer
  5. Network Support - Troubleshot network problems between servers and interact with Transport group as needed
  6. High-Availability Management - Performed application failovers using Veritas Cluster Server, HP ServiceGuard, or Sun Cluster as required for hardware repairs or customer requests
  7. Managed data collection process of CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carriers) to ensure accurate billing and usage records
  8. Maintained a 99% availability/uptime for over 2500 servers throughout a 9 state region.
  9. Designed and implemented closed circuit networks enabling communication between multiple Central Office network elements/switches (5ESS, DMS, LITESPAN, OC3, DACs, Remote Telemetry/ Terminal Units) from a centralized location utilizing customized software deployed on dual boot OS servers. Managed and completed 100% of projects from start to finish with high rate of customer satisfaction.
  10. Technical Consultant for one of the largest Data Warehousing projects in the world which enabled BellSouth Telecommunications to become a Long Distance Provider.
  11. Received the Apollo XIII Award, which represents the exhibition of excellent technical support, extra effort, and commitment on the PMAP (Performance Measurements Analysis Platform).
  12. Supported over 200 enterprise servers, databases, and applications involved in 90% of all BellSouth Telecommunications transactions.
  13. Lead all new server builds and implementations for BellSouth Telecommunications Enterprise Services Data.
  14. Developed enterprise account auditing program used to validate users for AT&T Enterprise Services Data.
  15. Developed program to automate the verification of new server builds in AT&T Enterprise Services Data environment.
